Dear KRAX-ers,

Luego de una semana de resaca (con MayDay entre medio), al fin nos podemos sentar para poner en claro todas la información y emociones que se sucedieron durante la semana de las Jornadas KRAX 2008.

» Primero, un gran agradecimiento a tod*s l*s invitad*s!
Hemos visto que nuestro trabajo, más allá de algunas críticas -basadas en el desconocimiento- :p, es muy agradecido por toda la gente que se acerca a las Jornadas: creemos que poner en contacto a grupos tan diferentes multiplica el conocimiento de la existencia de diferentes caminos y formas de hacer ciudad, política y cultura.
"Caminando, preguntamos..." dicen los zapatistas. Múltiples preguntas, múltiples respuestas... Ninguno de los invitados es un modelo, pero de todos podemos rescatar experiencias e ideas, podemos conocer sus aciertos y también sus errores, podemos desarrollar nuevas colaboraciones interurbanas... De eso se tratan las Jornadas KRAX.

» Gracias a La Escocesa (Plácido) y al Ateneu 9Barris por abrirnos sus puertas. Y gracias, como siempre, a l*s vecin*s de la Barceloneta por guiarnos en su barrio, prepararnos esa paella deliciosa y compartir su tiempo en la acción por la tarde.

» También gracias a toda la gente que se acercó para ayudar en la preparación y realización de las Jornadas (traducción, stream, transporte, fiesta... -- Nu, Eva, Tim, Carolina, Janialy, Erika, Vale, Marcianita, Javier y demás Bastardos, Nuria, Enrique RAI (x2), Naroma + vecin*s, Giulia, Frederik, Nelly, Pantxo, Panzer, Jorge, Sergi...). Nuestro presupuesto es mínimo, así que, al final, tod*s somos voluntari*s en este proceso y en estas satisfacciones!

Concretando:
--> Todas las presentaciones de los invitados están online en http://krax.blip.tv. Todavía faltan algunas, pero ya estarán hoy o mañana.
--> Si tienen fotos/videos de las Jornadas, envíenlas! Por mail será un poco pesado, pero un torrent o sistema rapidshare/yousendit puede funcionar. (o tageenlas como "krax08" en flickr!)
--> Envíen cualquier texto que tengan (o que planeen hacer) sobre las Jornadas: nos será muy útil para valoraciones/memorias, etc.
--> Comentarios, críticas, sugerencias... son siempre bienvenidas. Además, los necesitamos para poder trabajar una buena memoria durante las semanas que vienen.
--> KRAX esta aquí para concretar ideas y posibles colaboraciones/intercambios que surjan desde estas Jornadas. Así que para cualquier cosa contactanos y os ayudamos a poner en contacto con alguien o a investigar el posible desarrollo de un nuevo proyecto.

** La lista KRAX (krax(at)moviments.net) está ahí disponible para pasar información, convocatorias, conceptos, ideas.
** A KRAX.TV (http://krax.tv) le meteremos caña en los próximos días. La idea es que funcione como plataforma de distribución del material audiovisual de tod*s l*s participantes de las dos ediciones de las Jornadas.
** KRAX.Cargo (http://kraxcargo.citymined.org) está ahí para usarse! Ahí colgaremos todas las presentaciones de los grupos de este año. Quien NO quiera, que lo informe. Y si tienes otro material que quieras que esté ahí disponible para la consulta/donwnload, pues ya sabes: send it to us and we´ll upload it.

Dear KRAX-ers,

After a whole week of hangover (with MayDay in between), we can finally sit down to put together all the info and emotions during the week of the KRAX Meeting 2008.

» First, a great “thank you” to all the guests!
We´ve seen that our work, besides some critics -based on lack of knowledge- :p, is thanked by all the people that comes to the Meeting: we believe that gathering so many different groups together multiplies the knowledge of the existence of different paths and ways of doing the city, politics and culture. “By walking, we ask questions...” the zapatistas say. Multiples questions, multiples answers... We don´t propose any of the guests as a model, but from all of them we can get experiencies and ideas, knowing their successes but also their mistakes, developing new interurban collaborations... That´s what the KRAX Meeting is about.

» Thanks to La Escocesa (Plácido) and Ateneu 9Barris for opening their doors to us. And thanks, as usual, to the neighbours of la Barceloneta for guiding us in their neighbourhood, for that delicious paella and for sharing their time in the evening action in the street.

» Also a big shout out to all the people who came by to help in the preparation and realization of the Jornadas (translation, stream, transportation, party... -- Nu, Eva, Tim, Carolina, Janialy, Erika, Vale, Marcianita, Javier and the other Bastardos, Nuria, Enrique RAI (x2), Naroma + vecin*s, Giulia, Frederik, Nelly, Pantxo, Panzer, Jorge, Sergi...). Our budget is little, so, in the end, we were all volunteers in this process and in these satisfactions!

But... focusing:
--> All the presentations of the guests are online at http://krax.blip.tv. The last ones are not yet online, but they will be online today or tomorrow.
--> If you have pics of the KRAX Meeting, send them to us! By mail is gonna be kinda heavy to send, but a torrent or thru a rapidshare/yousendit system can work ok. (Or tag them as “krax08” in flickr!)
--> Send us any text you have (or that you´re planning to write) about the Meeting: it´s gonna be useful for us for evaluations/reports, etc...
--> Comments, critics, suggestions... are always welcome. Besides, we´ll need them so we can work (even) better on a good report during the next weeks.
--> KRAX is here to specify ideas and set up posible new collaborations/exchanges arising from these Jornadas. So contact us for anything, and we can help you to get in touch with somebody or to develop a new project.

** The KRAX mailing list (krax(at)moviments.net) is there to pass info, announcements, concepts, ideas.
** KRAX.TV (http://krax.tv): we gonna work harder with it in the next weeks. The idea is that it works as a platform of distribution of audiovisual material from all the participants of these two editions of the Jornadas.
** KRAX.Cargo (http://kraxcargo.citymined.org) is there ready to use! We´ll translate it to english, dont worry. We´ll upload there all the presentations of this year´s guests. If you do NOT want, tell us. And if you have more material and you want it to be there available for consultation/download, well... you know: send it to us and we´ll upload it.
